The Manitoba Paddling Association is the Province of Manitoba recognized sport governing body for all competitive paddling sports, including canoe, kayak and dragon boat. The Manitoba Paddling Association is a member of the Canadian Canoe Association, which is the national sport governing body as recognized by the Government of Canada. The Manitoba Paddling Association is a recognized provincial sport governing body under the Sport Manitoba umbrella. The MPA thrives on being an organization that is driven by its member athletes, staff and dedicated volunteers and that drive is aimed at producing high performance athletes, while still servicing the range of paddlers from beginner to elite.

Clubs, programs, events, coaching, training, funding, administration, and competitions from local to international make up the foundation of the Manitoba Paddling Association. With current member clubs servicing 5 regions of Manitoba (Sanford, Brandon, Selkirk, Minnedosa, and Winnipeg), the MPA is working towards accessibility and opportunity for all Manitoba residents. The Manitoba Paddling Association will continue into the future with a focus on growth and advancement, without sacrificing service and quality of programs.
