For youth aged between 9-14 offered in both English and French!
Youth learn the basics of canoeing, kayaking, and dragon boating on the Red River while participating in a variety of games, arts, crafts, and special outings. It's a great way to spend a summer!
All summer camps run from 9 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday. We offer both early drop-off and late pick-up if youth need to be dropped off before 8:30 am and/or picked up after 4:30 pm for an additional fee. We also offer half-day options as well.

Receipts for the Children's Fitness Tax Credit* will be available upon request but are not available to anyone purchasing a Groupon to pay for their program or the amounts of early and/or late pick-ups.
Introductory Kayaking Lessons
Intro to Kayaking 1 - $30.00
Intro to Kayaking 1 takes place on Tuesday evenings from 7 pm - 9 pm. This program is great for all beginning Kayakers - both youth and adults alike! Learn the basics of kayaking on the Red River using stable, easy-t-use equipment. If you purchased a Groupon to pay for this program, you must print your voucher and bring it with you (showing the bar code).

Intro to Kayaking 2 - $30.00
Did you have fun in level one and want to do more? Progress from the stable open-decked recreational kayaks used in Intro to Kayaking 1 to the sleeker flatwater kayak in Intro to Kayaking 2. You will take what you learned and learn some more. What a great way to spend a Wednesday evening from 7 pm-9 pm. Intro to Kayak 1 is a prerequisite for this program.

Private Kayaking or Canoeing Lessons
$50.00/person up to 6 participants
For those who are unable or uncomfortable being in larger groups but would still like to gain some paddling skills, this is for you! We're offering private kayaking or canoeing lessons all summer long. These sessions start at two hours but can go as long as you'd like. Whether it's learning how to steer a canoe or gaining skills for that kayak at the lake we'll make sure you feel confident in your abilities once you leave.

Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Lessons
We partner with The Hardcore Surf & Paddleboard Company to bring you Introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding! Lessons run Thursday night from 6 pm - 8:30 pm and will teach paddlers all the basics needed to SUP. All the information for what you need to bring can be found when you register.

SUP Training Group
Interested in improving your fitness, SUP technique, or SUP racing?
Join our weekly training group!
- Use of club paddleboards, paddles, PFDs, etc.
- Use of club canoes and kayaks
- Discount onboard storage
Prerequisites: Successful completion of a Basic SUP Skills course or equivalent experience. Contact us if you have any questions.
Age/Physical Requirements: Participants must be at least 16 years old

Summer Dragon Boat Programs
Intro to Dragon Boating - $30.00
Intro to Dragon Boat takes place on Tuesdays. This program is great for anyone who is looking to get into dragon boating on a recreational level. Our coaches have participated in numerous Dragon Boat World Championships and have a great deal of experience with new paddlers. If you are signing up for the Intro to Dragon Boating program, each week is separate and requires a separate payment. If you want to participate in the Lessons at least five weeks of the season, you should consider registering with our Dragon Boat League as that will save you money overall. If you purchase a Groupon to pay for this program, you must bring a print of your voucher with you to your event (showing the bar code).
Dragon Boat League - $135.00
This is a great option for those who know they want to participate in the Dragon Boat League. By registering in the Dragon Boat League, each person gets a free entry into the festival in September. They usually find a team to go on, or as will create their own team or teams.
Due to Covid-19, we are unable to run regular Dragon Boat practices at this time.

Here is an option that is just too good to pass up. Start with the Intro to Dragon Boating program. We are so sure you will like it that when you want to switch to the Dragon Boat League, we will apply your Intro fee paid towards your League fee (and prorate the cost if necessary). Win/Win!
Competitive Dragon Boat Team
Are you interested in racing dragon boats on a world scale? If yes then this is the program for you. For almost 10 years this team has travelled the world competing with the maple leaf on their jerseys. The competitive team practices Monday and Thursday at 7 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 9 am. If you have any interest in dragon boating at a competitive level come down and check it out.
The High-Performance Training Center for Manitoba is located at our facility, and we offer a range of recreational and competitive membership options for adults & youth, including canoe and kayak storage. Whether you enjoy the freedom of a solo cruise on the river in one of the many different types of canoes and kayaks available to you at our club or seek structured practices and high-performance training and competition, we have a range of programs for all ages to meet and adapt to your needs. Please contact us if you would like more information about the different memberships and storage options we offer.
Note: By purchasing a Seasonal Membership, you forgo fall-spring access to the club and the facility! That includes skis, skates, the weight room, and rowing machines! You only have access to the club during the summer season when you register for a Seasonal Membership! Also, members do not have free range of the club and its equipment! We host many events and summer camps, so there may be occasions when you're unable to use our facility. So, all members must ensure that a staff member is aware of when they're at the facility, and what equipment they're using!
